Surfactants
Why use surfactants? Well, how do you ensure full low-interfacial tension penetration of the formation? With foaming surfactants these penetrate the rock better than acid alone – speeds up the operation and efficiency!
Description
Aquative-430 is a high active amphoteric surfactant derived from refined coconut oil.
Application
Aquative-430 exhibits superior foaming in a variety of Oilfield solutions. It is particularly useful in low and high brines and acid systems.
Features and Benefits
- Compatible with a wide range of surfactant types
- Biodegradable
Description
Aquative-435 foamer is an amphoteric surfactant that provides excellent foam quality at an economical price. Aquative-435 foamer is compatible with cationic materials at low pH, anionic materials at high pH, and non-ionics in any pH system.
Application
Because of its unique properties, this foamer provides excellent foam quality and foam half-life in fresh water, brines with <120,000 ppm chlorides, and hydrochloric acid. It is also tolerant of small amounts of hydrocarbon contamination and will foam alcohol-water mixtures up to 50% alcohol.
Features and Benefits
- Effective in foam fracturing, foam acidizing, and removal of formation fines in post treatment fluids
- Provides excellent foam quality
Description
Aquative-455 is a mild amphoteric surfactant derived from a tertiary amine specifically selected as a foaming agent for well stimulation operations.
Application
A high temperature stable foamer for high brine conditions, such as gas well deliquification, completion fluids, and drilling fluids.
Features and Benefits
- High Brine Tolerance
- Thermal Stability >200°C
- Compatible with Anionics, Nonionics and Cationics
- Foam Booster for High Brine
Description
Aquative-911VS is a patented viscoleastic surfactant (VES) that offers a range of unique benefits when used in acidizing of hydrocarbon-bearing carbonate reservoirs.
Application
Aquative-911VS can provide enhanced wormhole network development during carbonate reservoir acidizing, particularly at high temperature, without causing significant face dissolution. It can also be used as a diverting agent for optimized stimulation performance in multistage acidizing treatments of high perforation length wells, particularly horizontal wells.
Features and Benefits
- The ability to divert acid at temperatures up to 350°F/180°C during acid stimulation operations
- The ability to treat lower temperature reservoirs at lower dose of VES
- A product that performs equally as well in limestone and dolomite reservoirs
- Easy field formulation of a single component viscosifier that blends easily into acid without
- Viscosifying until neutralized in the reservoir
- Better iron tolerance than other VES-based systems for acidizing
- A better tolerance to corrosion inhibitors, a known interference with viscosification in many VES-based acidizing systems
- Easy clean up of well post acidizing
- The ability to viscosify many organic acids that can also be used for acidizing operations
- Enhanced environmental profile
