Bonding Agents & Spacers (Nanoblock® / Cemakoll®) — Spacers
Cemakoll-171 is a grayish white powder that mixes readily into fresh water to prepare a viscous cement spacer. Salt or KCl can be added, if desired, after Cemakoll-171 hydrates; barite can be used to control the density of the spacer. Cemakoll-171 contains a surfactant that leaves the formation face water wet.
