Expansion Control (Cemakoll®) — CaO Expanding Agents

Cemakoll-187 is a cement additive formulated from selected natural anhydrite and a specially engineered clinker rich in calcium sulphoaluminate and free CaO. Designed for use with oilwell cement, it generates controlled early-age expansion during hydration. Under downhole restraint, this expansion develops internal compressive stress within the cement sheath, compensating for shrinkage, improving casing and formation bonding, and reducing the risk of micro-annulus formation and gas migration. Expansion performance can be tailored by adjusting the dosage relative to base cement, allowing optimization for specific well conditions, including thermal and pressure variations.
