Cemakoll-188 causes the exterior dimensions of set cement to grow slowly when the cement is in the presence of down-hole fluids. This minor growth of the exterior dimensions of the slurry causes the cement to bond better to pipe and formation. Cemakoll-188 can be used in freshwater slurries, or salt slurries up to saturation. It can also be used in salt- saturated slurries at temperatures up to 300°F. Physical Properties Density @20°C Solubility in water Slightly Soluble Features and Benefits It helps provide more expansion at temperatures from 130°F to 170°F (54°C. to 77°C). Cemakoll-188 helps provide quicker expansion temperatures from 170° to 190°F (77°C. to 88°C). It can provide improved bonding and zonal isolation. It is nonhazardous in normal working conditions.
