Cemakoll-213 is a powder cement retarder for use in cementing operations where high well temperatures are experienced. It is a blend of modified Lignosulfonate and Organic acid Salt and temperature enhancer. It is dark brown powder. It is used to extend the pumping time or thickening time for cement slurry. The thickening time of cement is decreased as wellbore temperatures increases. Cemakoll-213 is effective in wells with bottom hole circulating temperatures above 215°F. It is applicable for primary and secondary cementing job. It can be used to retard gelled slurries and tail slurries of different weights where the mixing water ranges from fresh to salt saturated water.
