Profas-637
Demulsifiers — Water-in-Oil Demulsifiers
Profas-637 demulsifier is a proprietary blend of specialized organic chemical components in aromatic solvent. It is a chemical aid utilized in the fuel-washing process of crude residual grade fuel oils. Profas-637 demulsifier will improve contact of the oil in the water wash process and aid in the subsequent continuous separation and dehydration of fuel oil, either by centrifugal or electrostatic techniques. Corrosive sodium, potassium and other water-soluble inorganic fuel contaminants are effectively reduced to prescribed levels in the complete process. Optimum dosage varies according to the oil type and other process parameters. Normally, dosage would not be expected to be greater than 500 ppm. Profas-637 demulsifier has a controlled low level content of trace metals. Physical properties are such that safety requirements for shipboard and certain industrial uses are met.
