AGA-430
Gelling Agents (AGA®) — Breakers
AGA-430, a solid delayed breaker designed for use in fracture, slowly releases an oxidizing agent to provide a 45 minute to 2 hour gel break for water- based fracturing gels made from guar or guar based derivatives including HPG and CMHPG. Since AGA-430 releases slowly into the fluid, more breaker can be run than when using conventional oxidizing breakers, resulting in a more complete gel break. The slow release rate of breaker also reduces the risk of premature gel breaks, a common problem when using conventional oxidizing breakers. Since AGA-430 is a solid, the breaker is not as likely to be lost to the formation during leakoff.
