Gelling Agents (AGA®) — Breakers

AGA-450 is a solid delayed breaker designed for use in water based fracturing fluids. AGA-450 provides a slow release of an oxidizing agent to provide a controlled break for fracturing fluids made from guar or guar derivatives including HPG and CMHPG. AGA-450 is designed to work in applications with fluid temperatures that range from 140 °F to 190 °F. AGA- 450 has an extended release profile which allows for increased concentration of the breaker to insure better clean-up of the created fracture without compromising fluid viscosity during proppant placement. The slow release rate of breaker also reduces the risk of premature gel breaks, a common problem when using conventional oxidizing breakers. Since AGA-450 is a solid, the breaker is not as likely to be lost due to leak-off.
