Aquative-828
Surfactants (Aquative®) — Paraffin Treatment
Aquative-828 is a cationic anti-sludge agent used during acid treatment that prevents asphaltene aggregation. The product is a specially formulated proprietary mixture of polymer and a cationic surfactant that reduces sludge formation during acidizing operations. Sludge comprises of insoluble components that precipitate out of the crude oil upon contact with the acid solution. These insoluble components include asphaltenes, maltenes, resins, paraffin, and other hydrocarbons. Aquative-828 stabilizes the colloidal dispersion of asphaltenes and prevents the precipitates from forming at the crude oil/acid interfaces. When the acid comes into contact with asphaltic oil, the asphaltenes will precipitate and reduce the flow of oil through the flow channels.
