Clay Stabilizers (AXA®) — Quaternary Ammonium Salts

AXA-120 is a clay control additive which provides the following benefits: long lasting protection against formation damage caused by clay swelling and migration; low molecular weight preventing plugging of tight formations by the clay stabilizer itself. AXA-120 works by strongly attaching itself to the clay surface. This attachment protects the clay from contact with water, preventing swelling, migration, and permeability damage. AXA-120 is a blend that is thermally stable, REACH compliant, available in Europe, environmentally improved, and avoids use of materials such as nonylphenol ethoxylates, methanol, EGMBE, and BTEX.
