Clay Stabilizers (AXA®) — Quaternary Ammonium Salts

AXA-131 is a high-performance, Choline Chloride–based temporary clay stabilizer designed for use in oil and gas well drilling, completion, and workover operations. It is engineered to inhibit clay hydration, swelling, and migration—minimizing formation damage and maintaining reservoir integrity. The formulation is compatible with a variety of carrier fluids including freshwater, brines, and acidizing systems. This product is particularly beneficial in formations with reactive shales and clays such as smectite, illite, and mixed-layer clays. Its temporary stabilizing effect allows for efficient post-treatment cleanup as it is displaced by produced fluids.
